Vortrag Blogging In Iran

Wann? 17.07., 16:40 Uhr
Wo? Gerber-Bau (GER/038/H)

"Where is my Vote?" -

In a country like Iran that is ruled by dictatorial regime, only the media
which are affiliate and along with regime can get the license.
With internet's outbreak and youths' propensity for blogging,
producing their own content and communicating, regime have faced a powerful
media with high attraction to a big number of audience, that they had no control
over the content and publishment of the articles there.
 - News which should not be published, were published and debates which should
not be formed, were formed. Propagation of blogs and blogging permeation among
youths growth to the extent that after 2009th presidential election,
after spreading the news of electoral fraud and offence of the government
in the election, active bloggers called for protest against the fraud,
and after passing just a few hours millions of people came to the streets.
Though to the unsuccess of these protests and Green Movement in Iran,
they have became an exemplar of other countries in the region with
dictatorship regimes, which at the end lead to Arab Spring.

On Friday, Juli 17, while explaining the history of Persian blogosphere,
will also consider to talk about importance and need of growth
and increase of Citizen Reporter/Journalism culture,
in not only dictatorial countries, but also in other countries.
